[Albion] Away tickets - name checks - including 1901

Well, he could make a Subject Access Request which would require the club to release to him all information held about him. Assuming he's mentioned in the meeting minutes, and he obviously will be, they should be released too. If the club fail to provide that, then he could go to the ICO and...

Another Albion fan appealed to the IFO about their ban... https://www.theifo.co.uk/a-10-match-suspension-at-brighton-and-hove-albion-fc/

I think you're conflating two different things... 1. Giving all fans the chance to buy a ticket at their appropriate time. 2. How to deal with the situation when legitimately bought tickets are no longer required.

After Bournemouth-Harvesting-Gate the club announced that wherever possible data would be taken from host club's entrance systems and points only credited to those who had attended a fixture.

Speaking anecdotally, before the change it felt like for most away games someone I know would be asking in WhatsApp groups etc if anyone wasn't going, as they had a mate who would like to come along. Nearly always someone would put their hand up and a ticket was bought for the mate. I can't...

Ignored by whom? The Albion do not police nor control concourses at away grounds - it's up to the host club to do that. The Albion can't ban people who have not been caught, kicked out, arrested nor convicted, but they certainly will act when people have been positively identified and up to no...

I imagine the club would have no great issue with the scenario you describe - buy with genuine intent to go, life gets in the way, passing the ticket on so it doesn't go to waste. The problem is there is absolutely no way of identifying those genuine cases from those where the ticket is bought...

I don't think you'll find anyone who disagrees, either inside or outside the club. The problem is the logistics of that when the majority of away tickets are still physical. The original purchaser would need to get the ticket back to the club in good time to facilitate a sale and...

[Albion] Away tickets - name checks - including 1901

The Bournemouth game (I was one of the few who bought a ticket and actually went) was a different scenario. The pricing and point allocation made it an obvious exercise for some to buy a ticket and simply not use it, thereby "harvesting" the points to help keep up their priority position for...

By way of coincidence, whilst looking for something else just now, I read this from Liverpool's ticketing for a CL fixture last season... TICKET SALE and STADIUM ACCESS NOTES: Tickets will be issued in the form of an e-ticket and will include the first name, surname, place of birth and date of...

You've misinterpreted. The fans weren't arrested because they had tickets in someone else's name. Some fans who have been arrested, for doing something or other, were subsequently found to have tickets in someone else's name.

They hold back (ie don't post) between 100-200 tickets which have to be collected at the away ground by the fan named in the purchase, who needs to present photo ID. I think they also do `occasional ID spot checks on other fans attending. I'm not sure many would take the risk of missing half a...
