I've sat in a glass-fronted box at Barnsley and didn't like that. You ARE distanced from the atmosphere of the game. Villa offered glass-fronted boxes to Albion fans wanting hospitality there last season, but we took the main stand seat option. I can't see that I'd ever pay to be behind glass...

I’ve done it once and it was fantastic. Whilst I had the same concerns as you, none of them came to fruition. The seats for the box were directly behind the WSL so you just felt part of the crowd, and with a cracking view. The food was great and you could fill your tea cup up with, ahem...
