I was only interested in a WSU ticket and I’d take one anywhere in the stand for my 7-y-o.
He’d either sit in my two seats with my daughter, with me in the bought seat, or he’d sit on my lap.

If there's a properly automated exchange available (and I have no idea if it is yet), then there's no real reason to not activate it other than, possibly, concern at it going live when there may not be staff around to monitor and intervene if required.
