Stunning. Perhaps Labour can secure a minority government in 5 years time.
Do you think you'll be pro Corbyn or sticking in the knives in his back again by then?
Yep - I was walking around Tesco when I noticed my Betfair account had been considerably swelled by the settlement of both the Next PM and the Next Government markets. I treated myself to a little something which is chilling right now.
Any chance you will reveal at any point whether you have done yet another flip-floppy u-turn and decided to support Corbyn again? It's so difficult to keep up with flaky types like you - first you did, then you didn't stating it was a failed experiment that would cost lives. Now? Where do you...
I'm not smug - I've made it very clear I'm no fan of the current administration (although I do consider it the lesser of two evils, when compared to the only alternative right now).
I've just largely had it with some on the left...
- Crowing about some sort of victory they believe they've had...
Helpful tip for Labour: if you don't like what's going on, try being a cohesive opposition who people will believe in and earn enough votes to form your own government.
Hope this helps.
Great to see two parties agree to work together for the good of the nation.
Hopefully the opposition will now get on with the job of being a strong opposition, in sharp contrast to the bickering infighting mess they were last time round.
Sounds like the Tories and DUP are close to their confidence and supply arrangement at last, and it's been reflected in Betfair's "Prime Minister After Election" market this morning, with May's odds tumbling back down to 1.06/1.07.
Is Jeremy Corbyn on drugs?
Yesterday I heard him stating that Theresa May has no mandate. Presumably that means that someone with fewer votes and fewer seats has even less of a mandate.
Maybe he was just highlighting that for anyone who may have missed it. Unlucky Jezza. Better luck next time.
Yeah, I've been following that too.
I'm not as brave as some of them are professing to be by repeatedly topping up on May. I can't see she won't be PM and will present the Queen's Speech and it will be voted through but there is this little nagging doubtt!
It's better than it looks. Initially only had a lay on May to be next PM by way of an arb against better odds available with the bookies at various times. Those bets have paid out as wins already, so whereas I was expecting to lose £250 in Betfair (less than my wins at the bookies) I'm now in...
Prime Minister after election odds as May continues to drift. No shortening of Corbyn, it's the Tory frontrunners who are being nudged in.
May - 1/5
Corbyn - 17/1
Johnson - 40/1
Hammond - 40/1
Davis - 50/1
Rudd - 80/1
It feels like a no win position for whoever is in government right now.
Corbyn would undoubtedly have a softer ride, initially at least, as positive sentiment is on his side whilst the absolute opposite is true for May. Perhaps that is what is needed for this particularly bumpy spell.
If I...
