The Civic which got written off this week was a 2006 and was at over 160k and the engine was still running without any issues at all. It was a 1.8 petrol.

Today it was a BMW estate thing. Suspect we'll end up going for a Civic.

Virgin Atlantic Amex card. Black one in my case (costs £140 or so a year but the return on miles is a lot better than the one with no fee). Use the miles to get PE/Upper Virgin flights.

Indeed - it would have been debit card. Possibly credit card, depending on the extra charges, for the Virgin miles earned.

Didn't even get to the haggling stage. Car was rejected after a drive (not by me). Brilliant.

Sorry - wasn't expecting anything extra for cash - just wanted to be clear it wouldn't be finance so they'd not be making a kickback on that. No interest in any freebies that involve coming back as we're in Worthing and they are over an hour away in Southampton.

Thanks! In a bit of a hurry - Mrs B wrote off our car on Thursday. Garage is in Southampton and state car can be driven away today so I was intending to do that if we like it.
