I'm going to have to ditch the full size cardboard cutout of my son I had made that I was going to get through the turnstiles to make it look like he was there for 75% of the games. Shame, the cardboard cutout has been much better behaved.
Not sure I can agree with this. Half season ticket offers, ST holders bringing mates for £10 each, various other ticket offers for non season ticket holders, we've sold out STs, and having a growing waiting list you have to pay to get on. The biggest reason is success on the pitch, that is...
If that is the case, then I have misunderstood clause by a country mile, I'm not even in the same county let alone ball park. I honestly thought that if you missed 25% of the games, then your ticket could revert back to the club. Well, that is a different slant on it...
23 home games, 25% is going to be 5.75 games. So if you miss 6, then the club could take your season ticket away. You can then upgrade 6 which effectively covers you for 50% of the fixtures. My previous points are that in order to address one set of rule breakers, another legitimate set are...
Don't forget the East Stand Concourse kids pre-match entertainment days with magicians and stuff...
Oh, and the free draw for any Young Seagull to be a match mascot for the day (which my son won for Burton at home and was delighted and got a full free kit!).
But other than that...
Starting to feel like there might need to be a bit of a collective representation of parents with v. young kids who are undoubtedly most effected by fixture changes to evening KOs. Traditionally at least it seemed evening KOs might make up 25 to 30% of the games in a season, 50% is quite a jump...
That is what I said in another post. An u10 could attend say 11 or 12 games, you could leave the seat empty for 6 and upgrade 6. I guess the silly part is that in this particular instance the club is mostly likely forcing a parent of say a young fan to have an empty seat for 25% of the games...
In terms of an U10 ticket, I think it is far from being bothered – every fixture change from 15.00 to 19.45 is hammer blow to our youngest fans. When you sign up for an U10 season ticket you don't actually expect 50% of the home games in a season to KO at 19.45. Why don't we just ban young kids...
Agreed, it's not just school nights, any 19.45 KOs for little ones is really difficult, especially getting back after. It simply isn't fair to say a 4 or 5 year has to attend 75% of their ticket will be cancelled, and only allow 6 upgrades of that ticket. Don't think they have got this right...
Okay, a home at 10.30pm or so for a non school night is probably okay, but a lot of kids won't be able to stay up for an evening game regardless of the day. Some will of course, depends on the child.
It is very cheap for an U10 to watch football at the Amex - £80 in the family stand. Up until these new rules, you'd bring your U10 to most of the games, then upgrade for a mate or another family member either U18 or adult for an evening game (especially school night). Trouble is, the number of...
Given the number of weekday evening KO's we've had this season, I think 6 changes is very unfair, as anyone with an U10 is potentially not going to want them out that late on a school night. 6 would be fine if the number of week day evening games wasn't such a large portion of the fixture...
