Couldn't agree more. However as I said, not sure you can worry about how CMS fits in when considering new signings when the guy might not make it back. I'm simply saying you wouldn't look at the potential signing of Wickham and say we don't need him because we have CMS and Hoskins in the squad.

I fear that CMS might never be back. Someone who's game is based on sharpness and pace can find his type of injury career threatening. His relapses, even if they're to other parts of his body are a massive concern. Right now I don't think he fits in anywhere in our plans to be perfectly honest...

Didn't Wickham play most of his Sunderland games playing out wide anyway? Might well be that they're able to play together. Hypothetically of course.
