Big win for Trump

Apparently he's complained that his lawyers were not given warning, so not enough time to prepare. This trial has been on the cards for months - they have had plenty of time!
The problem with that analysis is that the real crime isn't what he did (pay hush money to protect him / his campaign), but the subsequent cover up in payments and where the money came from.
Well, yes - I was thinking he might die before all the trials and appeals finish. Personally I hope he doesn't - as he'll avoid the ignominy and punishment due to him.
He won't go to jail. Even if he's found guilty of a crime, I can't see the judges sentencing him to do time. And if they do, it will be appealed and appealed until it's too late to lock him up.
Big issue of new DJT shares coming up. Probably all going to Trump.
Result
share price 'adjusted down'
those not receiving new shares will see the value of their shareholdings decline by the adjustment down
those receiving the new shares will see a partial gain.
So - basically the overall...
The current trial is mainly about falsifying documents. A pretty standard offence, and pretty standard prosecution normally - hundreds a year. It's only because it's Trump we're hearing about it.
Not judging by the number of jurors unable to be on the panel because they can't stand the guy. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/apr/17/donald-trump-jury-selection-jurors-speak-out
That's a huge number of miscarriages of justice then. I wonder that the whole of America is not up in arms about it.
Or maybe, just maybe - they are all guilty of what they have been found to have done, or in some cases confessed to having done?
