Just had a closer look at the last two charts, Netherlands, Germany and Poland are doing hardly any tests in comparison but their % of positive tests is higher than ours.
And people are trying to argue that doing more tests doesn't affect your case numbers :facepalm:

All from Ourworldindata. It's all much of a muchness. % of positive tests is quite important to this debate, as is daily number of tests as those together have a huge impact on the reported cases number. Look at the charts, we're nowhere near as bad as people are making out.

It's not really bad for vaccines, 90% of the adult population is fully vaccinated so statistically there are going to be more deaths in that category.

To put that in context, there's 60,000,000 in the country and 10,000 of them die every week at this time of year for various reasons.
I've just looked at the ONS excess mortality charts and this year doesn't look unusual compared to pre-covid. It's actually better than 2017 but nobody was...
Of course it's not proof that masks don't work but it is something to consider. Everyone should know masks work when the correct mask is worn.
