This is worth a read. That fact that most people don't realise this happens is part of my problem with the whole structure. It's too complicated to be transparent, and therefore accountable.
I don't think that's entirely right. There are different groups within in the European Parliament that MEPs align to, and there is a left/right split. They don't always vote based on nationality either.
Not quite right. The £350m to the NHS was on the side of a bus for the official campaign. Farage was nothing to do with that, he had his own special brand of advertising that we've ll heard about.
This is an important point and it's actually why I see the EU as a stretching or dilution of democracy. It's just so far removed from the people they're making decisions for.
