I think he was asked about the fee and his reply was certainly not anywhere near £9m. Having said that if we can sign a comparable player as good for less CH will have done well.

I was only quoting what he said in answer to the question about the fee Norwich paid. Not disputing it was widely published as £8m. Why would he say £9m as that was never mentioned. He is a pub team manger who signed a goal keeper that no pub team would want and replaced Ruddy a keeper on...

You have 2 extremes 1 proven in the Premier with lower teams and 1 with great unrealised potential. Who do you suggest Hazard or Alli or similar. Both Adams and Morrison would be realistic signings at our level at the moment.

He is young and talented and if anybody can get the best out of him it would be CH.

I do not think Cairney will raise his game sufficiently and would sooner pay less for an established man who you are sure can make his mark. Perhàps even somebody like Ravel Morrison or Charlie Adams. If going for untried I would look at Izzy Brown or Mooy on loan rather than £20m on Cairney.

Alex O'Neil wouldnt be drawn on the fee they paid but did say it was well below the alleged and reported £9m.

I wouldnt be against gojng for him or possibly another player who plays in the same way, as that is the type of player we need in our midfield along side of Stephens.

I doubt that very much as I don't think the ball would have reached the goal with any amount of pace to make it so easy for the keeper to collect.

Neither March nor Knockhaert performed to their normal level but there can be no disputing that we looked a far better team when Stephens came on as he makes so much room for other players with just a little turn plus he gets his foot in which both Norwood and Sidwell failed to do.

I wouldn't as we are supposed to be signing players good enough to play in the Premier not midtable Championship

I thought that he played well tonight because neither Sidwell or Norwood were able to get into him We looked a different team when Stephens came on and had he started Pritchard wouldnt have got the room that he did get.
