In affect the ref could keep it going till they have a shot which goes wide and then bring it back. I was always brought up to believe it was immediate like a maximum 5 secs. If they got or kept the ball end of advantage.
What has surprised me is that nobody has mentioned the obvious. Benitez is a top manager who has managed many big clubs and he out thought CH which not many managers will do this season.
I wouldnt class the 1st one as a save it just hit him the 2nd I thought was better but perhaps not needed. Neither counteract his mistake for their 1st goal. That was his contribution for 90 mins but not his fault if they dont shoot.
Have just watched the Championship on Ch 5 and I can only assume that you are talking of the shot by Ritchie in the first half which was straight at his body. Yes he was in the right place at the right time. The 2nd one I assume was the shot by Shelvey which he finger tipped for a corner. Was...
A lot of work to do on the training ground in the international break as at the moment we are not good enough to make even the play offs too many bad passes with the final ball in the last 3rd and too many free kicks being conceeded in dangerous areas. We are nothing like the team of last...
That is bull...t I praised him last season when he played well this season so far he hasnt in fact I think Maenpaa did better. He has had a disorganised back four in front of him but hasnt communicated with them, at least it doesnt seem so. I am sure that the break before the next game will...
When were those in the game and from whom as I dont remember them. As I said I cant remember any saves that he made. Where are these highlights available to be seen.
As I said he had 2 saves to make in the entire game and saved neither what other shots did he have to save? The first he moved to his left as the kick was taken had he stayed where he was when he lined the wall up he would have saved it. The 2nd was unsaveable.
Stephens start in place of Sidwell and debatebly Maenpaa for Stockdale who made a mistake and gave away a goal at Reading.
Hindsight but today he had 2 saves to make in the entire game and didnt save either.
A bad performance all round for Brighton but the eventaul result hinged on 3 mistakes:
(a)1st goal bad positioning a talking with the back four.
(b) Stephens should have been on for Sidwell after 20 mins to shackle Shelvey but at the worst when SB was red carded to give us an attacking option...
