Even the official scouts sometimes make a snap judgement after 1 game sometimes right sometimes wrong. A classic example is that I recommended a 15 year old at Burnley and AM sent our Head Scout to nip in to look at him while up north looking at another player. His verdict was he wont make it...
My point is that we as a club failed not any individual. I could identify a Maseratti as being the ideal car for my son but I know he couldnt afford it.
I think that the problem is that due to the price we paid for him being a current international, the supporters expected another Lewis Dunk and that he would step straight into the team and the way we play, taking into account we only paid £650k for Goldson. His first 2 games he hasnt shown up...
Thanks for that as I said I was confused.
Slightly OT why do so many players now suffer with hamstring injuries? In my day you was told that they came as a result of not warming up properly and players didnt suffer with them so much or didnt appear to
Waiting for the bus after the game there were many Forest fans that I was chatting too and they all said the same the manager is playing him too deep so he doesnt get forward enough to his best position and to attack teams.
Possibly but they are players that have played limited games for their Premier club but have done well when they did. Ideally I would like Lansbury but I dont think Forest would sell him to us. We are then left with Dack or similar from a lower division.
It seems that CH doesnt want a standard striker like Vydra but an attacking midfielder/ striker I think Lansbury fits the bill or not sure where he is on the Spurs ratings Tom Carroll or how high up the list at Southampton is Harrison Reed either as a possible loan.
