Gut feeling tells me that if we get another striker in it will be with somebody either Baldock or Hemed going in part ex the other way.

It would benefit a club considering signing a player who hasnt player much this season like Adebayor, Kevin Nolan and even Rortherham Lucciano Bechhio. or dare I say it J Lloyd Samuel or Ashley Cole.when Villa were considering him.

Managers tend to go after players they know and have dealt with before hence the likes of Ameobi and Becchio for CH mind it didnt work with Leon Best.

I would think so but with our training facilities what would it cost to stage a 11 a side trial game to look at out of contract players etc.

He returned from Argentina recently and had a 2 week trial to assess his fitness and they signed him last week.

He is a natural poacher though so with the right service and balls to attack it would have been a possibility and probably not broken the bank..

Rhodes very expensive and unproven in the Premier so why not get a proven striker at this level on loan to get us promoted and then look to the future in the summer. Peter Crouch's season is all but over. I would have looked at a short term deal for Becchio, who has signed for Rotherham and...

Outside of the 4 mentioned ie McCormack, Rhodes Murray and Crouch there has been very little speculation as to who we could sign as a striker to meet our needs.

Like most teams Stoke use fringe players in the League Cup so it means very little him starting tonight. Unless of course they win and he wants to play at Wembley.

Wont we have to wait to see whether or not Spurs sign Berahino. If they do Lambert moves up the pecking order.

Plus £8m to £10m transfer fee spread over a 3 or 4 year deal makes them both very expensive and probably out of our reach.

That being the case what would the price be for McCormack or Rhodes as many are suggesting.

The pass by Knockhaert to BZ was inch perfect to his strongest foot and in his stride nobody could hope for more other than repeats in future games.

Dare I say it playing at Rotherham? No not Matt Debyshire but Luciano Becchio just signed short term deal. Another oldie goal poacher who may be injured Jermaine Beckford.
