Not a bad shout. Worth us picking up the phone though. Wilson and Gayle up front in the Championship would be a very potent partnership.

Dwight Gayle is leaving Palace. SING him up.

He's one of the best strikers I've seen in the division, very good against us. Fast, tricky, direct and strong, he caused us no end of problems.

Good player. I'm very surprised Reading are letting him go unless it's stupid money.

Fair enough. I doubt we'll sign Bridcutt anyway.

A good point well made. We haven't been very good at closing games out and i think we could do worse than a wise old head to help in that. Ince lacks match practice and when he's had a chance hasn't taken it. Crofts has added very little this season and currently looks a shadow of the player...

Do you think Ince has been effective in that role?

Of course we need to sign players with a view to them starting -where have i suggested otherwise? But we also need some cover as the squad, as it stands, is down to the bare bones. Bridcutt might not be such a bad option in that role.

Maybe. But not the worse idea in the world to have him on the bench to bring on to close out a game when we're winning. Might be a better option that Ince?

Noticed a west brom fan talking in the Observer about the tricky and pacey winger, Callum McManaman, who has barely had a look in since Pulis took over. Well worth looking at a loan for him. Might help get his career back on track and would be a good addition to our squad. Get him in.

Solly was a happy exception. But agree club couldn't have built a better academy. It would be interesting to know how many players the club expects to come through and play for the first team over the next few years.

both signed for the Development squad with a view to kick on and push for first team squad place sometime. It's January and no sign of that happening anytime soon. Our signings of young potential rarely works out.
