To be clear, I've responded to a thread about this guy. I thought nothing of him before, although I did think his Hugo Boss stunt was stupid so it very much seems to me that this is what he does. Makes some point in a massively self-advertising kind of way. I wouldn't take a moment to watch...
I couldn't disagree more. I really don't think any company or brand who wanted to work with Beckham before will be thinking twice now. Time will tell, but I don't believe he's been damaged by this at all.
This incident has done absolutely no damage to David Beckham whatsoever. Literally none. It's like saying throwing a stone from Brighton beach into the sea has harmed it. It hasn't.
Has he done a self-serving publicity stunt in the build up to spending his money? That's the issue with this, "I'm going to shred 10k!" stunt, not him talking about spending his own money.
Good attempt to draw a parallel though and great attempt to stir the pot.
What a total prat Lycett is. The posh rage he shows in his little video is pathetic, what difference does he think it's going to make for him to shred 10k? Who empowers him to speak for anyone other than himself? If he's got 10k to shred, he can do a little bit more to help the groups or people...
