Is the church next to the cricket ground? I was trying to think of a nice village church that is next to a cricket ground, I did think it was Chiddingly.

Mentioned on their website about only 3 in Sussex, I will have to look for the connection. Glad you mentioned Southease, another favourite and in a lovely village.
