Not a good advert though is it when 40 knives have been confiscated? News reports on links on this thread report schoolboys being stabbed and stabbing others. Very sad. I remember some friends at the time planning on going in the early 80s, they were really worried about getting mugged...

Very interesting artical, well worth a read. Thought a carnival was supposed to be fun, very worrying when 40 knives are found.
