Fair enough, I didn't mean to finger point. I just found it an interesting choice of words. I don't think anyone is being pandered to; society progresses forwards as it is wont to do and this is just another step.

Because identity and your sense of self is at the very core of who you are. To have the sense that you, at your most basic level, are part of some nebulous 'other' must be equally as draining as some people find the term 'gender neutral'.
