One is mocking someone for their sexual preference whilst the other is a statement on someone's ability. If it was "You're SHIT AAAAAAAGH because you're gay" then it'd be a problem.

You mean that people don't have to mock others for their skin colour, over which they have no choice, or for which genitalia they prefer, over which they also have no choice ? Madness, it'll never catch on.
