Yeah but Dead Pony is a session ale (a very very dull session) and Punk is 5.6% (which I can drink if it's cheap in sainsburys). Two very different ales for different occasions.

I like 2 of their 15 or so beers, the rest is pretty tasteless but fair play for investing.
Most pints will still cost the brewer max £2, unless they use saffron or something. It's the 'craft' overprice thing thats ruining the ale party at the moment.
I spoke to my brewer mate recently, he said he'd rather his strongest pint cost around £3.80, down to about £3.20. There's no need to add shitloads of cost on top, it's solely going to profit.

Yeah, but apart from the Evening Star the rest of Brighton was still getting over the ZEL takeover. Pubs like the Indigo's Reservoir in hanover was somewhere new and somewhere you could have 3 choices of Langhams. It was relatively cheap at the time too.
