Yep. Any contact between the ball and the arm by the scorer of the goal means the goal can't stand. Because Mac was the last Brighton player to touch the ball he is the goal scorer, so because it touched his arm the goal can't stand. Regardless of where his arm is, regardless of intent...

VAR checks both ways - if the ref gives one, it checks if it should be given, if the ref doesn't give one VAR checks to make sure it shouldn't. VAR is meant to stop obvious errors, not giving one is just as much an important error as giving one, so of course it will check both.

Conceding such a goal will be the 'get out' for people who don't want to accept the officiating mistakes (Spurs fans, Palace fans, the officials), it won't be the VAR that cost us the points, it will have been our defensive mistake.

He was the last Brighton player it touched before going in, making him the goalscorer, and in that instance it doesn't matter where his arm is. If it touches the arm at all the goal doesn't stand.

I only like Dunk scoring v Arsenal. Our record against other teams when he scores is not great (in the premier league).

Too much talk this week of our undefeated away streak, and our chances to finish in the top four for my liking. Our defence was very fragile v Brentford, and arguably Bournemouth should have had a couple. Kane will want to shut up the critcisms over his gamesmanship. Not looking forward to today.
