Unless I'm mistaken, there appears to have been a media blackout on the last day of his parole hearing.
The first two days were covered, but the last day, where he would have got to speak, seems to have gone unreported. Maybe because he was on record as saying his side of the story would 'shock...
I don't think that's the case. From the documentary, he has been downgraded to a 'medium risk' prisoner. So he almost certainly isn't any longer experiencing the conditions you describe.
The worry is his own, completely understandable, paranoia. He gave an account about this on his first release.
He does appear to be the old school criminal type that wouldn't harm a child or hit a woman and loves his Mum. The trouble is there's the very real potential that an adult male only...
What prison, or prisons did you work in?
Having experience of two different cat B prisons, they were most certainly like chalk and cheese. That was also well over 20 years ago too though tbf.
I tend to agree, the parole board are very unlikely to take a chance on this.
Quite.
Paraphrasing... 'FFS, this is going to take all day!'.
Four hours into a process that could ultimately grant your greatest wish, that you've waited donkey's years for, really isn't helping.
It largely depends on what cat B prison we're talking about I suspect. One where the screws run it, or one where the inmates do.
Either way, supervision means very little in terms of reduction of volatility.
No one can know for certain, but I tend to agree. A part of me thinks he knows this too. I suspect that what he wants most is his chance to put his side of the story to a world wide audience.
Yes, I am playing Devil's advocate, but I'm also stating a fact. Normal location in a Cat B prison is a pretty volatile environment and the place most likely for an incident to happen. That applies to anyone in that environment, let alone someone with his record.
It would appear, from the...
Another way of looking at that though is this.
Normal location in a Cat B prison is a pretty volatile place to be in. Much much more so than what I imagine an open prison environment is.
As for release into wider society? That's a completely different ball game.
Having just watched both...
