I don't think they've gone backwards necessarily - just an individual and collective dip in form due to injuries and too many games (those injuries preventing as much rotation as we would have liked). It happens.
Tony can take the pulse of the fanbase as well as anyone…..he‘ll know that there would be a significant element that would be toxic towards Potter. No chance he’d re-employ him imo.
