The bright side might just be a lot brighter than you can see right now. Casting that wide net is scary but it's the right thing to do and will mean the best possible, most effective treatment.

This sounds like a very similar to the experience we had with my Mum. The initial CT scan showed up two or three things including something on her liver which sounded very scary at the time. It lead to more tests, biopsies, further scans. They all came back clear.

I can't give you any advice at all, but if you'd like a positive story to boost your thoughts, my Mum was diagnosed in August and it was gone by November. No chemo/radiotherapy needed at all. The NHS is full of wonderful people doing brilliant work.
