Shudder. That game is the only time I have been genuinely angry at a cricket match. Collingwood double century, Pieterson daddy hundred and 551/6 declared - and we still f##king lost.
It bothered me for years and years until that Ben Stokes knock at Headingly 4 or 5 years ago felt like some...
I thought I'd look into this a bit. Turns out he took 17 overs to reach double figures! In a 50 over game! And Clive Lloyd dropped a dolly off him. Assuming that wasn't deliberate, you do wonder what might have happened if it had been taken...
I've just watched the Kohli dismissal by Cummins on the BBC site.
He stands there for about 20 seconds after playing on.
Two things that sum up Indian cricket:
1) the crowd are absolutely stunned into silence, no clapping for the bowler's effort. Nothing.
2) Virat Kohli believes all the...
Exactly. And apart from the Aus/SA semi, they don't even turn up unless India are playing. What a shite cricket nation.
Exactly. I couldn't be bothered to say what it was that annoyed me but that was utterly cringeworthy. I am absolutely delighted that Australia have absolutely SPANKED...
Horrible batting conditions, these. But fair play to SA, they've got themselves right back into this. Maxwell could have taken the game away in 2 overs, but he's gone and it really is game on.
Also nice to see the ground near full for a non India game (for once).
Good to see the Indian fans - who have turned up in droves for all non-India games - clapping appreciably as NZ begin to find the boundary all over the place.
Oh wait, I meant the other one. Just sitting on their hands. Twats.,
This. Particularly the bit about India. I am fed up with the fact that the grounds are near empty unless India are playing.
They're not cricket fans in India, just fans of Indian cricket.
I can't see how we can qualify. Every game we've lost, we've been absolutely SPANKED in, so even if we get to 8 points and tie for 4th, we're bound to have a worse NRR than others on 8 points.
No complaints from me, although I think it's a pity it'll get next to no coverage in the Netherlands. And I said earlier in the thread, I'm still a bit sad the Windies aren't here.
