[Albion] £30m offer for Levi Colwill rejected

Moises wanted to go to Arsenal in January. I would very much doubt that he signed a new contract with us so he could end up at Chelsea.

[Albion] £30m offer for Levi Colwill rejected

I would imagine the poster who mentioned it had read something rather than made it up. I can’t remember any swap deals for other players being proposed on here but maybe just poor memory.

[Albion] £30m offer for Levi Colwill rejected

Depends. What would Maguire actually do at Chelsea ? I find it difficult to believe he would be signed as a footballer.

[Albion] £30m offer for Levi Colwill rejected

That’s easily explained. It’s because Tony knows how to run a football club. Unlike Chelsea we don’t go out looking for shiny glittery baubles to appease the egos of fans who take some kind of tacky reflected glory in the price of players. If we can buy Levi at a decent price because Chelsea...

[Albion] £30m offer for Levi Colwill rejected

You’ve completely misunderstood my post and you are now just handing out random insults. I agree with you that he should stay at Brighton. I hope he does. The only thing I disagreed with you about was when you said he would suffer if he didn’t sign for us. I thought that was a bit OTT. Still do...

[Albion] £30m offer for Levi Colwill rejected

And I was pointing out to you that to suggest that he would suffer by rejoining his parent club is a little silly. Especially when you consider the fact he has been there since he was 9 years old, their financial clout and their recent managerial appointment ! If you are going to post an opinion...

Just pointing out the ridiculous language you used.

[Albion] £30m offer for Levi Colwill rejected

I’m not sure how there is any suffering. He either signs a huge contract with Brighton or a huge contract with Chelsea. Are you looking to ‘free’ him ?

[Albion] £30m offer for Levi Colwill rejected

Alexis and Moises are leaving. In Alexis’ case the deal is all but done. We don’t stand in players’ way as long as everything is done on our terms. Been explained multiple times. We are not trying to compete in the transfer arms race. We seek to benefit from it. If players aren’t sold then Tony...

[Albion] £30m offer for Levi Colwill rejected

Every deal has a price, yes. Our transfer dealings in recent years have though made it clear that matching the number is all that matters and the club doesn’t engage in debates about how that number is arrived at. I definitely think we stop at ‘not for sale.’

[Albion] £30m offer for Levi Colwill rejected

Brighton don’t need to justify the bid. It’s a number. Chelsea accept it or not. It was the same for Arsenal with Ben White. They paid up. We may or we may not be willing to do the same but if he isn’t for sale it’s irrelevant. There won’t be a debate on ‘value.’

Will you organise the #freelevi commemorative tea set or do you want me to do it ?

Fair enough. We move on. I wouldn’t expect any more bids for a player not for sale.
