I’d go as far as saying (as yesterday) the clause was £35m up front and we’d have negotiated nailed on clauses to get it to £45m and others that are likely ish for the other £10m. It’s £55m in my book anyway 🙌
Rising to £55m with add ons. Sensationalist lies from that Fab bloke again 🤦🏻♂️ the release mechanism to negotiate was prob £35m and then negotiations started. I’d hang my hat on it being closer to £55m all in than £35m on the end.
Neither - he will get a hero’s reception - cheers all round 100%. Obviously when the game starts we’ll want him to play bad and lose but that’s football. We need to show credit and class back to players that leave the right way and he’s 100% done that.
Leaves with only good wishes from basically all our fans. Think he should’ve stayed another year or two for the journey, but understand it’s a great opportunity for him as long as he gets the game time. Our first ever WC winner and seemingly an incredibly humble, well liked and nice bloke. Will...
As Naylor has confirmed there wasn’t a standard ‘release clause’ as most of us who know the club and how they work knew all along. It was something different but not an out and out ‘release clause off you go’ - very rare in England let alone BHA.
I’ll go with Andy’s £55m - although worth...
So many plastics with smart phones in the world 😞
They also don’t read things properly. He just said nothing agreed at moment. That could change in 5 mins. He did exactly the same with Cucu and Caicedo and was right with all. There’s already ‘Arsenal’ fans saying they’re ready to pile in when...
Very interesting and good point. That seems much more Albion there… And as usual the puppet Fab won’t report this or even prob know it etc… This sounds more likely - so not a proper ‘release clause’.
It’s a very un Albion thing. My worry is this was a one off type of clause as his Dad pro insisted and insisted. Or there isn’t one at all and Fab puppet is just being played again.
I don’t believe there’s a release clause and I don’t think it’s something we do. Unless his father was absolutely insistent and we did it as a one off. I expect the Argus / Naylor to confirm as much soon which often happens on fees.
