You'd have to agree that when they let Rick Stein abroad he stopped oddly reading poetry out between recipes which to most of the nation was a relief.
It's owned by the BBC (commercial arm) so I doubt very much they'd sell the IP to another UK broadcaster if the story is true.
If somebody really wanted to make it, they would do so under licence like Strictly Come Dancing.
Overseas versions are still being made.
The BBC sells all its popular stuff abroad but the Top Gear heyday is well over.
At it's peak when it went out on the BBC it was being simulcast across Europe
I thought it had gone a bit quiet on the Flintoff accident.
