    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

If it’s happened for some big league aways I stand corrected, I thought the only previous time was as you say 2019 (when it went to purchase history anyway).

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

I was referring to the big away games, should have clarified.

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

I know it is a fact. One example of many - a STH I know who goes alone to the Amex got guest tickets for his disinterested daughter and staunch United fan son in law. Most aren’t as principled with this sort of thing as a lot of diehards on here would wish them to be, unfortunately.

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

I doubt it, as I presume the decision was made specifically to drive behavioural change, I.e. memberships for the previously unconverted from next season onwards. Which makes sense from a commercial perspective.

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

I’m not arguing about the benefits of membership though. I agree I’ve been fully aware of the benefits, including priority for certain tickets. The gripe is directed at all the non-fan day trippers and, most annoyingly, United fans. If the ability to buy guest tickets for big games was listed as...

Agree, I did say they got it mostly right.

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

Mmm, not quite. I had always assumed I wouldn’t need to buy a membership for ‘enhanced priority’ over all the United fans who I know are now in our end. Obviously would fully expect to be bottom of the pile measured against every other category of attendee, but this part was wrong (and I think...

Yeah, a legend on there sorted me 🎉

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

The affordability point is bollocks, if you can pay for a Wembley trip then a £30 membership is doable. The main gripe imo are the many non-Brighton fans who have been able to skip the queue ahead of genuine fans with genuine reasons for not having a membership. I know about 15 United fans in...

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

I’m an ex-STH, probably been to over 250 games home and away from league 2 and up, but moved away from Brighton 9 years ago. Since then I’ve never needed a membership to attend the 6/7 games I now get to per season (like Leeds a few wks ago), same position as all my friends who left home...so...

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

What commitment have Pete and Sally, friends of a STH who don’t watch us but fancy the day out, given? The club got it mostly right but allowing Pete and Sally in ahead of loads with significant purchase history/points but no membership was poor.

Two tickets secured thanks to @PILTDOWN MAN !

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

I had this recently for Leeds away - purchase history window open, button greyed. Phoned the club and they manually altered so do keep trying.

Members yes, purchase history no. We do purchase history for many home games too (and did so for the last semi. It makes no sense to allow STH guests who’ve never seen a game in their lives ahead of non-member purchase history (in my case, ex-STH for a dozen years etc.). C’est la vie.

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

Those who have purchase history and have recently even bought a membership being behind random mates of STH is ludicrous tbf; I’m also having to be reliant on a good samaritan!

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

I think it would be entirely unreasonable, it would give one team an advantage. In any case United have already confirmed a rough allocation of 34k so it’s not that.

Even before purchase history would be wrong for me

Allowing STH to buy tickets for Mick and Sally who’ve never been to a game but fancy a day out over those with purchase history and points would be bang out of order. IMO.
