I think the process has been perfectly fair. STH loyalty has been rewarded by being at/near the front of the queue as you'd expect, but with an additional perk that they can take along a couple of friends or family members and have a fantastic day out with them. That in and of itself is a reward...
This was my original plan, but then I thought "f*ck it, I really don't care if I'm sitting with them for the game". So I got mine, and will go back in on Wednesday to get theirs. No biggee. We'll be there on the way, then on the way back, and on the concourse inbetween. I don't need to hold...
I'm so bloody glad these lower tier seats are the premium prices. I'm near the front of upper tier 551 (£65), and I INFINITELY prefer that view alongside the pitch to being low down, especially behind the goal where you can barely see whats going on up the other end. I've watched a few games...
Sorry if this has been asked / answered but I'm muffed if I'm going to wade through these gargantuan threads. Anyway, does anyone know if we're be getting actual physical paper tickets ? Or will it be via the mobile phone/wallet gubbins ?
Hoping for the former.
Each to their own, I've been there and done all that. I will be MORE than happy if we can get parked, find a quiet little boozer on the way, watch whatever the lunchtime game is, then get to WEMBERLEEEY in good time to start soaking it all up.
That sounds like perfection to me.
Aye, but I doubt it'll get any cheaper nearer the time. Anyway, not fussed. It'll cost buttons between 8 of us, and keeps me away from the rail/tube bunfights. Looking forward to a leisurely trip.
Already taken the provision of booking a driveway to park on for Sunday 23rd in the locality (£33) - about 20-25 minutes walk from Wembley. Travelling up in a mates 7-seater. Jobs a goodun, but can see prices going up rapidly once the inevitable date is confirmed.
I'm in my 50s, I count it as a win if I get through the day without soiling myself.
The point is - NOBODY is going to miss out on a ticket for this game.
Games like this I always like the fact that (for me) the "cheap seats" are up in the gods.
Give me a choice of either the lower tier or the 2nd/3rd tier, and I'll choose being high up every day of the week, and twice on Sundays. I HATE being low down in a stadium, the view is gubbins. I've done...
No need to soil yourself.
I expect STHs will initially have a window to buy whatever seats they want. But after that raft, hang back and STHs will be able to purchase 2 or 3 "guest" tickets for non-members. Then whatever is left will probably just be a free-for-all for Albion+ members and then...
