So this thread has now become a platform for a couple of posters to share their dislike of the BBC. Great, thanks for that we get it now.
I always assume that these few noisy posters are the outliers in the UK as as far as I can see the BBC is still loved and respected both in the UK and...
Surely the answer to this tax business is for the government t to close the loop holes used for for tax avoidance.
I can't think of any good reasons why they won't 🤔😜.
No need for such a convoluted scheme to try and motivate people to take action.
Surely just voting for government with a plan to sort the system out would work better. The Tories have had 13 years to sort it out and have not done so. Deliberately or out of incompetence surely it's time to give...
So you are criticising Lineker because of some unnamed celebrities have endorsed something but done something else that has got them money from something that may or may not be dodgy. An example of an unnamed person, doing an unnamed thing at an unnamed time.
It's really not the best argument...
What makes it lawful is claiming asylum at the end of it. It is really as simple as that.
A brilliant job has been done of blurring the lines so now no one is sure. Job done for those that wish to push this rhetoric.
I don't think it risks either of these. Well among anyone who can appreciate the nuance of events.
If you consider this dangerous though wouldn't you also consider the denial of a democratic election dangerous on the grounds that we may ignore the possibility of an extremist government gaining...
I don't know that much detail about what you are discussing here but it strikes me as about semantics as much as anything else. ON the one side you are decrying those elections as undemocratic, and you make excellent points about this and it is hard to disagree.
The other side of the argument...

I think that 90% of the interactions have been civil and reasonable...
You do yourself a disservice GT. When it comes to outrage and virtue signalling your post stands head and shoulders above the others on this thread. :lolol:
"I am ignoring this thread but I want it sent to the bear pit!!" Shades of Mary Whitehouse right there mate.
Anyway I will let you get...
So you just popped into the thread to share your disapproval of it and let us all know that you are continuing to ignore it. 🤣
Thanks for that.
Gotta love the social media age.
I can understand why you would find policy comparisons offensive, as you say his would belittle what happened. It is the language part that i find more difficult to understand? Do you agree that the language is not dissimilar to that of 1930's Germany? Why is a view that their are similarities...
The irony of this monologue was that LBC went to the news after it and described the small boat route as illegal. The idea has been successfully ingrained in people's minds as truth and forms the basis for the government's policy. Sadly the basis for the policy is false
