    There is nothing hypothetical in your point. Driving would be massively improved by removing all sorts of other road users, pedestrians, other motor vehicles, birds that target your wind screen. Unfortunately shared use tends to be the norm in busy places.

    Cycle paths can be there for specific reasons, which don't necessarily suit all cyclists.
