Virgin mobile have emailed me today with the same price rise, but they also don't charge for roaming. I'm on a 30 day rolling contract so I shall have a look around. I've only been paying £7 a month for 2Gb and unlimited calls so may decide to stay.

I met up with some friends at the Marina this morning for coffee, and popped into Asda afterwards for a lettuce. The shelves were almost bare, and a notices up saying 3 per customer only. I bought a miniscule iceberg lettuce for 60p.

:lolol: it does appear like that to us, but having used Lidl’s in Germany and France, other countries have no problem using the shelf for its original purpose.

You put it back in the trolley so they can operate the till very quickly. Then you go to the packing shelf, and pack it at your own leisure.

Lidls soup is lovely and half that price. I prefer their tomato soup, to Heinz, and I never thought I’d say that.
