I believe sonar guy, amongst his bold claims and bravado, did quietly conceded that if the body was in a reeded area then it could be problematic to detect. There are a lot of reeds on that stretch.

Agreed, the point I was hamfistedly trying to make is that there are many documented cases of bodies in flowing water not being found for weeks or months. If she has gone into the river, it's not that unusual that she hasn't been found yet.
