In a word, no. We weren't apparantly ever in for him. The recruitment team will have a huge database of players we could be interested in, and are doubtless making enquiries all the time sbout dozens of them. That doesn't mean we were or are 'in for' any of them. I have absolutely no doubt...

Because presumably we would make some enquiries (and no doubt have some informal conversations with his agent) before we got to the stage of being 'in for him'.
