Interesting watching O’Mahoney’s cameo last night…..instantly looked more like ‘good’ Fergie when he came on. Not worried about Fergie personally, he’s young and going through one of those periods where it doesn’t happen, in part due to how the rest of the team are performing. He’ll be alright.

He is but I think @timbha was speaking from load management perspective. The sports scientists will have a better handle on that and be advising.

I don’t think there is a pecking order. It’s simply a combination of managing minutes, establishing partnerships, players getting on each other’s wavelengths and DeZ working out which combo is most likely to be effective against the opposition on the day. Fully expect to see our starting forward...

100% this. Crucial to manage physical load and even more so at his age, otherwise he’s likely to have a shortened career. Club/R DeZ doing exactly the right thing IMO.

Discussed on TS this afternoon……..Goldstein trying to convince Bent he should go to a ‘top‘ club (‘like Spurs, to learn from Harry Kane). Bent was great - absolutely not, at the best club he could be for now, getting loads of game time and being very well managed by an excellent manager………
