Firstly, I am one who is watching the world cup and supporting england however you need to check your facts. The 6500 is backed up by official documents. The Qataris claiming is only 3 that have died. Also, it's not just the deaths but the conditions for migrant workers with reports employers...

The other side of the coin is that Qatar new exactly what they were bidding (or bribing) for (and Fifa should have known the areas of likely conflict but still chose to fill their boots).

And yet because the world cup is in Qatar considerably more attention has been drawn to the state of affairs there that wouldn't have been had it been held elsewhere. I don't agree or condone anything that the Qataris get up to but I'll still be watching.
