Ah chortle … but (alas) no… you see he’s a legend there… it comes from, you know, staying long enough (and) through thick and thin and becoming part of the fabric of the club - playing for and managing… in those (rare) instances fans are very forgiving… I suspect he had offers, opportunities…...
That doesn’t surprise me at all … and if you can see beyond the Spinal Tap meets Office opening to that video, I admire his honesty and (yes) he’s clearly a good hard working bloke… here’s hoping he does well at QPR, a club (for some peculiar reason) I quite like :/

Rock and roll appointment.
(Sounds like a late 70s UFO album title.)
Quote from the bbc article:
“He is an iconic figure. He has this aura around him. He is the Wild Thing, that's his nickname, he's in a rock band, he drives a Mustang, he's a proper character.”
Who knew? Lol.
I...
Although I’ve jokingly suggested Ainsworth before, I do agree he probably needs a mid level step up and success therein before any PL club would take the chance.
He’s a rocker though, and that I admire him for.
That and staying at the club for a decade is something in this day and age.
I’d have let it go grey, he’d look like a wizard or a necromancer - that’s something I could get on board with.
That said, he’s still a bit of a legend.
He did take them up to the Championship and they were cheated out of survival by a certain former 'big' club.
Sense of injustice, he'd be perfect for us :)
Well he's loyal... hang on that's so old fashioned, what was I thinking... Loyalty pah... lol I mean wtf?!?
Long hair, leather jackets... (hopefully) leather trousers...
The more I think about it, the more this makes sense.
A rock and roll appointment for the ages.
Bring it on.
