reading between lines, if genuine tickets weren't working, that would look a lot like fake tickets. they wouldnt be able to confirm numbers of fakes vs unaccepted valid tickets.
and then goes onto say they need more police. fancy that from a police union
couple of different things seen on twitter and news. firstly, some French having to climb under the barriers because tickets weren't scanning. some sort of celeb because the steward then asked for a photo...
man buys ticket from internet equivalent of bloke down the pub, shocked to find its fake.
the report i heard this morning is the turnstiles got clogged and queues backed up because hundreds or thousands of fake tickets not allowing entry. so the genuine ticket holders suffer too.
to use a football cliche, they've made the ref make a decision. you're saying they can foul and its up the ref to see it and respond, if they get it wrong its ref's fault. maybe they shouldnt be fouling in the first place?
i saw the clearly Liverpool fans first, though since seen others. let not give Liverpool fans a free pass on their behaviour just because others are doing the same. i will blame UEFA for poor planning too, its the fans who roll up and try it on responsible for their actions.
seeing them climbing fences, hard to say its not partially their fault.
looking like a complete shit show though, security cant control it. wonder why so many with tickets appear to have turn up so late, or has there just been that many ticketless blocking them?
