Well this is all going well for the player 🙁
Pretty sure he'll bounce back into Spanish squad contention somewhere else tho. Tho he'll probably never lose that weird Thousand Yard Stare, which will always be a worry
Bloke clearly lives deeply inside his own head. Not his fault. Noboby can control where their head's at, at any given time. Worst of times to try and make a bit of a statement tho eh? Such a shame. He could have been a part of all this BHAFC celebration. And would fully deserve to be
I guess as he's just been to the World Cup with Spain it's probably taken a bit of coming to terms with. Plus there will doubtless be an agent whispering in his ear that he'd be more valued elsewhere
It's an odd kind of relationship tho. You're supposed to pretend to be totally supportive of the guy keeping you out of your job. Must be a bit like going into shared ownership of a property with a stranger. You must be secretly wishing they fall under a bus
Sanchez was included in the top three keepers in Spain's 2022 World Cup squad no? Spanish club would appear to be most likely next move. Seems to be an over-crowded market for EPL flakey Spanish keepers 😀
Sanchez' Thousand Yard Stare worries me. He seems to sometimes retreat inside his head when he should be fully focused. Not what you want in a keeper really
Tho I guess Solly probably never envisaged that he'd be called upon to take one when he (presumably) volunteered to be seventh in line for for penalty duties. One step too far for his new-found confidence sadly. But fair play to the lad for having the guts to step up to the plate anyway
You'd think the law of averages alone would lead to Sanchez saving the odd penalty now and again. Apparently not. The only way United miss a penalty today is if they miss the target. Sadly tho, they never did
Being dropped might just force Sanchez to re-boot / re-focus. He seems to sometimes drift off into a strange trance-like state during games. It's a bit unnerving really. Fair play to RDZ for calling him out on it in favour of an an Always-On keeper :clap2:
Quite amusing that every time De Gea comes up against Big Bob, there's only one keeper that looks like a serious contender for the Spanish numero uno slot. That won't have gone unnoticed in the Spanish squad selection upper ECHELONS. Maybe this WC might come just that bit too soon, but make no...
