I suppose it depends on how many other clubs need a no.1 keeper and how many have their own 'no dickheads' policy. I'm not seeing ManCity, Arsenal, ManUtd, Newcastle, Aston Villa, in the market for a new keeper. West Ham maybe or someone like that perhaps. They're owned by dickheads so probably...
I love that you know better than our manager of the season nominee. Maybe he just hasn’t noticed what you have, from the sidelines, or every day at training, with all his professional coaching and playing experience…
If Sanchez is refusing to be selected or travel, then we only have 1 PL seasoned keeper. Whether other outfield players are a bigger loss or not is irrelevant, if Steele is sent off or injured and Sanchez isn't there we are weakened.
This is actually the first time Sanchez has had to be a no.2...
I think that deal would have been available to Caicedo, he just didn’t want to sign it because he wanted to move. His behaviour didn’t get him anything that wasn’t already there.
He wouldn’t be doing nothing, he’d be preparing to play, supporting Steele, being ready if Steele were to get injured or sent off.
As it is, he leaves us weakened if something does happen to Steele, and frankly heresay or not, at this stage of the season especially, it’s bang out of order.
A colleague that has rebuilt their career through hard work and professionalism, when the time came they were overlooked for the then no.3. But still they got their head down and worked hard. Sanchez doesn't have to look very far for what a model pro looks like.
Only 4 teams have conceded less goals than us. We have a +11 goal difference. We play on the edge of risk, we take risks everywhere. Players made mistakes against Bournemouth and they got away with it. Sanchez didn't on this occasion.
I'm not sure I buy into this needing competition to up your game. Doesn't always happen that your place being at risk improves performance. Obviously you want as good as you can in your squad to challenge for places, but that is not the same as just having the threat of losing that place...
All of the defenders made big errors. Duffy, Dunk, Veltman, Cucurella. They all played a poor pass, got caught in possession, set up a chance for Spurs. Thought Dunk was as guilty as any of them.
Sanchez is fighting for his confidence. Someone said 'over confident', I think it's the reverse...
