Do I think Connolly had an opportunity to take a penalty? 99% yes.
Do I think it was right that he didn’t take one? Evidently 100% yes because his side won anyway.

If Connolly wanted to take a penalty after the first 5/6 had been taken he would have done. At that point it comes down to players stepping up. I’d be staggered if ‘Boro knew who their 6th/7th penalty taker was after all those subs. It would have been a case of who wants to take one putting...

I think it’s very telling Connolly didn’t take a penalty. It’s very fair to assume he didn’t want to take one which says a lot about his confidence right now. Whether you like him or not that is a real shame.
