Against a lot of opponents I would agree but I dont think Potter is going to play two central midfielders against their three when Bissouma, Mwepu and (probably) Lallana are all out. Moder and Mac are likely to start with a third player which I suspect will be either Gross or Alzate (50/50 chance).

He is indeed venerable enough to get me almost too excited, but I can take it, I still want him there.

Welbeck could start but dont think he will play as central defender. Veltman as DMC is interesting and not completely to be ruled out tbh, GP said last year he could he play in that role.
