For all the fuss made about needing to check registration plates my pass wasn't even scanned on entering the bridge last night. I wish the club would make up their minds about what they are and aren't doing.
Other than when you book Bridge parking now it specifically asks for your Reg plate and says it will be checked on arrival and if it’s doesn’t match entry will be denied. Hence my query to supporter services.
I raised the same question with Supporter Services for the same reason, I may not know which car I’m travelling in right up until the time I leave.
This is the rationale for asking for the Reg plate
“ Thanks for emailing in, I have time to gather more information as to why this is requested...
No. Every ticket for the bridge at least now has to have a Reg no specified when purchased and if it doesn’t match you will be denied entry. Not sure about the uni. It’s a great idea by the club to ease the travel arrangements if it’s fans…………
Still a bit of a mystery though as The Bridge and Uni have co-existed for years without the issues we’ve seen for the last two games. Is it the stewarding in the Uni slowing down access and causing the traffic to back up? It remains a doddle to have your pass scanned and drive into The Bridge.
Strange response. Isn't it reasonable to expect the club and police to liaise about how to mitigate travel issues - clearly something has changed to make things much worse.
Before the Brentford game I could drive from home to the Bridge in 30 mins. Tonight it took over an hour. Is it too much to expect club and police to sort the traffic on match days?
