You're not wrong! Made worse for me by Nigeria beating Egypt comfortably then going out after not turning up against Tunisia. Then the dullest team going, Egypt, making the final and predictably taking it all the way to penalties after a 0-0.

And this was exactly the reason I didn't want Egypt anywhere near the final. Dull, dull, dull. So glad Senegal managed to win it after the predictable Egypt playing for penalties.

Typical Egypt. But Cameroon done themselves no favours at all.

    Oh FFS Cameroon!

More likely to be 11 -10 in this competition

I'd mainly blame Egypt for that. Very defensive minded, as usual. Traditionally, think of them as the Italy of old. Win plenty, but usually pretty dull in doing so.

Pretty dull semi this one, especially compared to yesterday's, which I really enjoyed. I still want Cameroon to win this. Think they have a better chance than Egypt of making a game of it with Senegal.

Well Burkina Faso certainly gave Senegal a good game. I liked the way they attack with pace and showed no fear. Hoping for a Cameroon win tomorrow to set up a tasty final.

Fair play. You're right on Guinea v Gambia with the two late reds. My apologies. It is the only game though isn't it?

Why do you keep saying this? It's simply not true. Granted, there's been a handful of games where there's been the same amount of red cards as goals. But not one single game in this tournament has had more red cards than goals. At least as far as I can remember.

Another big upset. Nigeria won all the group games too and yet never turned up tonight. Poor show from the Super Eagles :(

FFS! 1 nil down and now Iwobi sent off.

Sure enough, a long penalty shootout. Marvellous scenes for Burkina Faso! Always good to see an African coached team knock out a team coached by a European.

Could be a lot of penalties in this shootout.

Don't be put off if you tune in tomorrow half hour before KO expecting a normal 'show'. For Nigeria v Egypt it just went live about 10 mins before KO, if that even! In other news. Nigeria currently 2-0 up against Guinea-Bissau with just a couple of minutes left. So Nigeria through, topping the...

If you use the Fotmob app (THE best football by a country mile) it'll show you which channels each game is being shown on. Careful though. Sometimes it'll say BBC iPlayer when in fact that just means on Radio 5 via BBC Sounds. That's what it did for our game last night. Alternatively just web...

Little to no end product from Nigeria. Little to no attacking intent from Egypt. All added up to a dull game.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/africa/59880503 Not sure what's going on here with Ighalo and Dennis. Whether it's Al Shabab and Watford not playing ball, or a mess up on the part of the NFF? Troost- Ekong is here from Watford though. Either way. It's a shame not to see Ighalo and Dennis in...
