Just finished a little binge watch of ' Griselda' starring Sofía Vergara as the true life Columbian drug 'godmother' Griselda Blanco. If you can ignore her strange prosthetic make up it's brutal but excellent.
Another vote for 'Kin ' here! Series 1 of the Irish crime family drama currently on Iplayer. Thought it was excellent and Series 2 is on it's way soon to iplayer.
Would totally agree about Neil Maskell. Loved him in The Football Factory particularly the scene with the snooty parents of his girlfriend. His other turn was in Kill List which is not so well known.
I think nonsense is a bit harsh and really worth seeing Adam Sandler doing something totally different. However, I would agree that it's exhausting and a little noisy to the extent that my wife gave up after 15 mins.
Really enjoyed this but as you suggest you have to ' push through ' the middle episodes a little. Really dark and all the more shocking as you know it's not total fiction. Having watched this and done some web research you really appreciate the nightmare for his victim's families and the complex...
Just started watching ' We Own This City' on Sky Atlantic and can't believe it.The cops seem to be oblivious to the fact that Marlo Stanfield is working at the police station with only a pair of glasses as disguise! How dumb are the Baltimore police. :)
Same here. Loved the Narcos series so QoS sounded promising. However was amateurish by comparison .
To be honest the best show I ended up binge watching over lock down was Sons of Anarchy . Brilliant from start to finish.
Another vote for Boiling Point but with Stephen Graham you know it's going to be good. The frenetic one shot filming isn't for everyone but for me it does give it the energy and tension. If I was being very picky I felt a little short changed on the ending.
