I agree. Last season was the first one since 1965/66 where I hadn't seen a live Albion game. I can see the Amex from my house and it's been so frustrating to think that games are going on but have had no chance of attending. I'm absolutely gagging for a live match and don't care how many...
As I said earlier, it is an issue for me because my photo ID is in a different name (looks like Thunder Bolt's husband has the same issue). I guess I'm going to have ring the club (and I still think it's strange that they've not mentioned this to season ticket holders)
Exactly. How many people are going to give someone else their phone to use to get into a game? I still can't get my head around why tickets delivered an individual phone isn't enough ID
Oh I know. I've never been clubbing in the US but I'm still astonished that someone in their sixties has to show ID to get a drink. That's just bonkers
I've been clubbing in at least 20 different cities, I've never once had to show ID to get into a club. It think this says more about you or about the type of clubs you've been to :)
Blimey, what sort of measures are we going to have in place at the Amex? Barber's not messing about, is he? :lolol:
BTW, I was wrong about PMs not using their first name - there haven't been four in my lifetime, there have been six. That's an indication of how common it is
It is complicated but that's because so many forms ask for full name and automatically accept the first name as the one to use. My passport uses my full name as that's the one on my birth certificate and my driving licence uses passport data. But when filling in most forms, I just use my middle...
It is for me - which is why I'm not happy with this ID business.
For everyday life, I use my middle name and that's the name my season ticket is in but my passport and driving licence uses my full name. I've had difficulties with this before so I'm hoping that the steward is not looking too...
But, as was pointed out earlier, the only way to share a mobile-delivered season ticket now is to lend someone your phone. And I can't see that happening in large numbers
I get that(although it's not yet a requirement) but surely a ticket that sent to an individual's phone plus a vaccination certificate should be enough? I can't see a need for passports or driving licences.
It's the first I've heard of needing ID. There's no mention of it in the email I got containing my season ticket, nor the one about direct debits and there's no mention of it on ticket information on the club website...
