The vast majority of people riding the train will be double jabbed. The others will have had a negative LFT in the last 48 hours. Anyone else not attending the game will be quite a small number.
Effectively the clubs policy does stretch to transport but it’s just not in their control.
why wasn't there this much uproar when they introduced body searches and bag checks upon entry a few years ago. That takes a good few seconds and probably as much time as a quick ID/PASS check. It hasn't changed the match day experience for me.
Particularly from where I enter the stadium from (Falmer Station) the volume of fans does come via waves with trickles in between. Strategy might be to rush off the train as quickly as you can or simply hang back and stroll up the walkway to let others get through without hanging around too...
depart train

during sixth form I did a roaring trade in fake id's/photocopied passports which had the digits of the year of birth swapped around.
tempted to get this business back up and running now.
it now appears that the government will encourage businesses and events to use Covid passports in high-risk settings but will not require it. Thats not a law. However, very much sounds like PL clubs will be 'encouraged' to do so.
Imagine of they didn't, uproar amongst the population...
i renewed like many without really knowing if we would be able to attend due to capacity restrictions, behind closed doors matches etc. The current scenario is a pleasant outcome.
Lots of moaning on here.
Those that aren't double jabbed who I sympathise with but if inclined have a fair bit of time to do something about it.
Those moaning about having to bring/show ID. Most will have had ID with them previously. I have no idea why someone is bothered about identifying...
suggestion is that from 1st October the government approach will come into operation which is the same as they have for Nightclubs from September (no double jab, no entry), though as pointed out this needs to be rubber stamped.
