Disappointingly, Jensen didn’t even make the matchday squad for Cambridge United’s opening fixture vs. Oxford. Caused a bit of bafflement among the Us fans around me. I might pop back to The Abbey on Tuesday night for the EFL cup game vs Swindon; hopefully he’ll get some minutes in that...
Yes. It's almost like the club have tried their hardest to make a bad situation as easy as possible for people who are prepared to make a little effort to meet them halfway on getting crowds back in the stadium.
They might, as a gesture of goodwill but I imagine they are under no obligation to do so.
There will be something in legal stuff that says the club reserves the right to amend conditions of entry and you will have ticked a box saying you accept the Ts&Cs. Will be interesting to hear what...
I'm not so sure. Why would they?
These days, Governments are big fans of using 'nudge theory' where possible. (ie - 5p/10p charge on plastic bags to discourage usage rather than legislating against them entirely).
The Government have been offering classic 'nudge' inducements including...
Barber: "So - that's the statement released. Well done team. I know you've all been working 14 hour days to get crowds back but I think we covered just about every scenario."
This is only my interpretation but I imagine acceptable ID would be something oficially issued that has the holder's photograph on it. So (for example) a current passport or photo-card style driver's licence or bus / rail pass. I don't believe a bith certificate would be acceptable as they don't...
Will it? Won't it? I don't know anymore - I'm completely lost now.
If I was Paul Barber I'd just say, "**** it, this is too much like hard work. Tell Tony we're going to sell a few more more players, carry on behind closed doors and run the club off the TV money."
Nobody knows how many won't be able to go - but there will be hundreds upon hundreds of thousand more who suddenly can.
If people can't go through personal choice then that is entirely their decision. If people can't go for medical reasons then that makes perfect sense and will apply to many...
All of this. Probably the same people who drink drive because nobody else matters except them. Until it goes tits up and they end up wrapped round a tree. Then they’re suddenly quite keen on the concept of everybody pulling together.
So you keep saying. Hopefully most people have a slightly more developed sense of social responsibility and will try to play their part. But yes, sadly there will always be selfish ***** with no regard for anyone but themselves. The rest of us just have to carry on in spite of them.
This thread is a useful place to read and discuss the requirements for stadium admission as laid out by the club, work through the implications plus help people looking for solutions.
It really isn't the place to start talking about the effectiveness of vaccinations etc. If you really want to...
As I understand it, the club will be publishing details today that cover all aspects of what will be required to gain stadium access for home matches. Might be worth holding off phoning until the details are announced, just to save yourself the time and trouble.
The club are the lightening rod for fan displeasure at extra charges and costs, yet at the heart of this are the PL players and their agents (at all clubs) demanding tens of thousands of pounds per week to play. When 23 year old players are chartering private jets to go on summer holiday because...
